Amboseli is well known for its herds of big tusked elephants and overlooking mt Kilimanjaro. Amboseli can be visited throughout the year, but the best wildlife watching is in the Dry season (June to October) when animals gather around marshes and other predictable water sources.
When it’s dry, animals crossing the sandy plains kick up a lot of dust, offering great photo opportunities in the late afternoon. The dry spell between the rains, from January to February, can also be a great time for wildlife viewing.

Tour Plan
Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, heading towards Amboseli National Park, renowned for its stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. After a scenic drive, you’ll arrive at the park in time for lunch at your lodge or camp. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive, where you’ll spot elephants, lions, zebras, and other wildlife against the backdrop of Africa’s highest peak. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at your accommodation, surrounded by the sounds of the wild.
Wake up to a breathtaking sunrise and head out for an early morning game drive, the best time to see predators in action and enjoy clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Return to your lodge for breakfast and some relaxation. In the afternoon, venture out for another game drive, exploring the park’s diverse ecosystems, including swamps, savannahs, and woodlands, which attract a variety of wildlife. End the day with a hearty dinner and another night under the stars.
Start your final day with a pre-dawn game drive to catch the wildlife at its most active. After breakfast, check out and begin your journey back to Nairobi, with a stop at a Maasai village (optional) to learn about their culture and traditions. Arrive in Nairobi by late afternoon, concluding your memorable 3-day Amboseli safari adventure.
