Your adventure begins with a warm welcome at Victoria Falls International Airport. A Sipolio Africa Safaris representative will escort you to your elegant lodge or boutique hotel near the falls. After settling in, take a sunset Zambezi River cruise where hippos, crocodiles, and elephants frequent the banks. Sip cocktails and watch the African sky ignite in hues of gold and crimson. Return to the lodge for a candlelit dinner and a restful night.
After breakfast, embark on a guided tour of the iconic Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya (“The Smoke That Thunders”), the falls offer awe-inspiring views, rainforest walks, and incredible photo opportunities. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy optional activities: a scenic helicopter flight, visit to the local craft market, bungee jumping, or a cultural village tour. In the evening, enjoy a traditional dinner and drum show under the stars.
After a leisurely breakfast, depart by road for Hwange National Park (approx. 4-5 hours), Zimbabwe’s largest and most diverse wildlife reserve. Arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. Your luxury lodge or safari camp, located in a private concession or within the park, offers fantastic opportunities to spot elephants, lions, giraffes, and more. After a thrilling game drive, return for dinner and stories by the campfire.
Spend two full days exploring Hwange’s expansive wilderness. Morning and afternoon game drives take you into varied landscapes—from open savannah to teak forests—home to over 100 mammal species, including Africa’s largest elephant herds. Optional activities include walking safaris with experienced rangers or visiting nearby conservation projects. Between drives, relax at your lodge with views of busy waterholes where wildlife comes to drink.
After breakfast, travel south to Matobo Hills, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its unique granite rock formations, ancient San rock art, and spiritual significance. Check into your lodge nestled among the hills. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic hike or cultural excursion to learn about the area’s history and spiritual legends. End the day with sundowners on a granite dome, taking in breathtaking panoramic views.
In the morning, embark on an unforgettable rhino tracking experience on foot, guided by park rangers in Matobo—a rare and humbling encounter with critically endangered white and black rhinos. After lunch, take an optional scenic drive (or overnight add-on) to Great Zimbabwe, the ancient stone city that gave the country its name. Explore the towering ruins and learn about the once-thriving Shona civilization. Return to your lodge in the evening for a farewell dinner.
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Bulawayo Airport or Victoria Falls for your onward flight. Your Zimbabwe Highlights Safari ends with rich stories, wild moments, and the cultural heartbeat of Southern Africa—crafted with care by Sipolio Africa Safaris.
